Changes made from version 3.00 Stable to 3.01 Beta:

  • Improved accuracy of distance and lap counting for Pool Swim in certain situations.
  • Fixed a potential issue with footpod calibration.
  • Fixed a potential issue with high battery drain in watch mode.
  • Fixed a potential issue where the user was not given a warning alert on the last length of a swim workout.
  • Fixed a potential issue where certain multisport profiles were not available in the app list when navigating a course.
  • Fixed a potential issue where the user was not directed back to the time and date page correctly, after receiving a Lactate Threshold estimation.
  • Fixed a potential issue where optical heart rate data was being logged to the activity file for a Swim activity, when used within a multisport profile.
  • Fixed potential BLE/ANT communication issues. (Requires BLE/ANT update 3.51)

  • Fixed an issue where the Auto Scroll setting was not available for paddle sports activity profiles.
  • Fixed a potential issue with Timer alarms not working as expected if Do Not Disturb was enabled.

 


  • Installation Instructions
  1. Connect your fenix 3 HR to your computer using the USB cable. Download and unzip Fenix3HR_Beta.zip.
  2. Navigate to the GarminRemoteSW folder and remove any files that may reside there. If you do not see any files in GarminRemoteSW, then please ignore this step and move to step #2.
  3. Place the GUPDATE.RGN file in the GARMIN directory
  4. Disconnect from your computer and proceed through the update path
  5. Connect your Fenix 3 HR to your computer
  6. Place GUP1909.bin, GUP2196.GCD, GUP2414.BIN, GUP2415.GCD in the GARMINREMOTESW directory
  7. Disconnect from your computer and proceed through the update path
  8. If you would like to revert to the last public release software, follow the above steps (ignoring step #3), but place the gupdate_220.rgn file in the GARMIN folder. Rename the file to gupdate.rgn before disconnecting your device. NOTE: If you revert to an older version of software, all of your settings will be reset to defaults.
